Kim Eckenroth, MS, APRN, FNP-C, our co-founder and vice president of patient services, often writes devotionals for our staff. We thought you might also appreciate them, so we created a special section on our blog to share them with you. We hope they touch your heart too.

Psalms 117:7“Let my soul be at rest again, for the LORD has been good to me.“

We have been taking a few days for Don to get re-acclimated to Eastern Standard Time since returning from a mission trip to Uganda. Since Don’s biological clock has been eight hours ahead of the rest of us, the down-time has been a great gift and actually came in handy as we got up at 3:30 am this morning to get to the airport.

We were very fortunate to have spent  a few days away with his sister, Susie.  It was fun being together, talking, planning our next family reunion and just catching up with each other. A little retail therapy was icing on the cake. As you can see from the picture, Bella came along on the trip so we got in a bit of leash training too.

One of the benefits of a break is that it gives us a time for a reprieve from the routine of life and all our responsibilities. We can read, relax and spend time with the Lord, recharging our batteries. All of us need to recharge our batteries on occasion.

You know, the Bible speaks often of resting and abiding. It gives us the opportunity to hear directly from God as he speaks into our lives. It is a time for refreshment, inspiration and encouragement.

Today as you continue galloping through all your duties, take a moment to thank the Lord for the life and family he has given you, his watch-care through the night and his protection over you until you reach home this evening.

Praying for you all — the best A Team anywhere!!

Kim
