Volunteers help you make the most of every day.
Our carefully screened and trained volunteers are available to help you and your caregivers with activities that provide relief and add value to your lives. Many of them have personal experience with hospice or the loss of a dear loved one and can relate to what you’re going through. If you would like volunteer assistance, mention it to your hospice care team and they will arrange for it with our director of volunteers.
Visit our free online e-library with educational articles, caregiving tips and a monthly newsletter to help you manage difficult symptoms, make important decisions and deal with serious illness.
Gentle Shepherd volunteers are dedicated to helping you and your family by:
- Visiting with you
- Sharing what they have learned about the hospice experience
- Reading to you
- Praying with you (if you would like for them to)
- Helping you keep in touch with loved ones
Consider our volunteers as a resource and source of relief during this difficult time. If you would like volunteer assistance, mention it to your hospice care team and they will arrange for it with our director of volunteers.
