The doctor said there’s no cure. So what now?
First of all, you are not alone. We’ve brought families through this thousands of times. Right now you probably feel exhausted, overwhelmed, confused and emotionally broken. That’s okay. Together we can work through all of the necessary decisions and whatever may come. In the meantime, keep praying for a miracle. And we’ll help you turn this troubling time into treasured memories.
So, take a deep breath, pick up the phone and give us a call. We’ll talk through the many options available to you. Then if you want, we can take it from there.Learn More
In the words of our patients' families, our care team is an "army of angels... with sweet spirits... always there with comfort... guiding in helping me make the right choice... serving faithfully and selflessly... making the last earthly days so much brighter and happier."
What We Offer
When you have been told you have six months or less to live, our dedicated care team can help determine if you are eligible for hospice, talk with you about how services are covered, supply what may be needed and help you make the most of whatever time is left.
Help determining when it’s time
When you call us, we’ll schedule a time to meet with you in your home to talk about hospice services. Should you choose to move forward, hospice care can start that day.
Same Day Admissions

Specialized hospice care and comfort
You will be cared for by highly experienced, Christ-centered healthcare professionals, many who have been with Gentle Shepherd for several years, if not decades. Your physician may continue to stay involved as well. A social worker, chaplain and volunteers can also serve on your care team.
Support through grief
After a loved one passes away, the loss is devastating. When the focus of family and friends inevitably shifts back to their own lives, Gentle Shepherd will still be there you over the next year to help you begin to heal.
