The other day, Leana Kail, our CEO, sent an all-staff email that is quite timely, considering that December 1 commemorates 25 years of Gentle Shepherd Hospice providing end of life care in Roanoke, Lynchburg and the surrounding communities.
From Leana…. “Yesterday, I decided to clean off the console of our van, when I noticed three pens laying there side by side.
I had to chuckle when I realized that they were all Gentle Shepherd Hospice pens, representing our three eras of branding. The green one was our first, followed by the lighter blue and the navy, our most recent.
Please take a minute and pray for our company today… our management team, our direct hands-on care staff, the administrative team that holds everyone together and those who share what we do and who we are with healthcare professionals and the community. And as always, please keep our patients and their families in your prayers.”
As we celebrate this milestone in our company’s history, we’d like to thank the families we have served over the years for inviting us into your homes and lives, and entrusting your loved ones into our care. It has been and continues to be a privilege to serve families in our communities during such tender times.
